Ever since the first cave dweller scratched a picture of a mammoth on a rock wall, people have been keeping track of how many, how big, or how much something is worth. 
 

The state of California has a list of "Math Content Standards" - things you have to know to pass 6th grade. We'll be going through them in class. Some things will seem easy to you and some will be harder but if you pay attention and ask for help when you need it, you should do fine.
