We read a lot of different things in 6th grade. We read Where the Red Fern Grows, a story about a boy and two dogs, and a historical story, The Return. Island of the Blue Dolphins is historical fiction based on a true story about a Native American girl surviving on her own. Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH is an exciting fantasy story by Robert C. O'Brien. One of our recommended titles is the popular fantasy, A Wrinkle in Time.
